The Children's Fund Every Child Matters is a Government programme run by the Department of Education and Skills, which aims to identify at an early stage, children and young people who are at risk of social exclusion and to ensure that they receive the help and support they need to achieve their potential.
Sure Start is a Government programme which aims to achieve better outcomes for children, parents and communities by:
increasing the availability of childcare for all children
improving health and emotional development for young children
supporting parents as parents and in their aspirations towards employment.
